Add the oats and almonds to a blender or food processor and grind into a fine powder. Add the powder to a medium bowl and set aside.
Check your dates are soft by giving them a squeeze. If they are too firm, soak the dates in hot water for a few minutes until soft and squidgy.
Add the dates, peanut butter and cocoa powder to the blender and blend until creamy and well combined. If it is not blending, you can add a little water.
Add the blended date mixture to the bowl and use your hands to bring everything together into a sticky dough.
Roll the dough into 8-10 balls and enjoy!
Notes
If the mixture is too wet, add a few oats to help bind it. If it is too dry, add a little water. The mixture should be sticky and easy to roll into balls.
These energy balls will keep in the fridge in an airtight container for up to 1 week.
