Ingredients

  • 120g / 4oz Raspberries fresh or frozen, or any other berries of choice
  • 1 tsp Lemon Juice
  • 1 tsp Maple Syrup or agave syrup, or honey
  • 1 tbsp Chia Seeds

Instructions

  • Add the berries to a small saucepan and cook over low heat for about 5 minutes until juicy. Use a fork or wooden spoon to gently mash the berries. At this point, you can blend the berries if you so wish.
  • Add the lemon juice, maple syrup, and chia seeds to the saucepan and mix together.
  • Leave the jam for about 20 minutes to thicken up and cool down.
  • Stir the jam before serving. Enjoy!

Notes

  • Prepared chia seed jam will last up to 1 week in an airtight container in the fridge.
  • You can also make chia jam in the microwave – simply microwave the berries until soft and juicy, then stir in the remaining ingredients and leave to cool.
