A recipe for the BEST, creamy, zesty avocado toast.
Avocados are a funny fruit – the wait for them to ripen seems to last forever, yet soon after they reach peak-ripeness, they go brown!
Sadly, many an avocado have been lost to the natural process of oxidation. They will be dearly missed 🙁

It’s important to consume our avocados before they have to suffer! So wherever you are right now, stop what you are doing and make some AVO TOAST!
This is in fact a very simple recipe. You could say that avocado toast is not worthy of its own blog post, but that is where you are wrong, my friend. Okay, maybe you are right, but i just wanted an excuse to talk about how much I love avocado!
This is seriously so quick and easy to prepare, and can be enjoyed any time of the day for a light meal or delish snack.


Sometimes simple food is the best food. That’s why I try to share easy recipes with few ingredients – so that each individual ingredient can really shine. (plus I’m kinda lazy sometimes haha)


A recipe for the BEST, creamy, zesty avocado toast.

  • 1 Avocado ripe
  • 2 slices Toast I like wholemeal seeded
  • 1/2 Lime juiced
  • Salt + Pepper
  • Chilli Flakes optional


  1. Slice the avocado in half lengthwise and remove the pit.
  2. Using a spoon remove the avocado flesh from the skin and transfer it to a bowl.
  3. Mash the avo with a fork. Add lime juice and seasoning, then mix well until creamy.
  4. Carefully spread the avocado mixture on top of the toast in a thick layer. (Optional: use your fork to make a funky pattern)
  5. Serve and enjoy!


  • Eat it quick, or the avocado will go brown and sad-looking.
